Production of nanoparticles and nanomaterials
With remarkable progress made in the field of nanotechnology in recent decades, numerous nano-structures have emerged possessing marked properties for a wide range of applications in biology and medical engineering. Developed nanostructures include quantum dot-semiconductors, magnetic nanoparticles, polymer particles, carbon-based nanostructures, and metal nanoparticles. Metal nanoparticles, as compared with other nanostructures, have been indicated to show the most flexibility due to the ability to control size, shape, composition, structure, morphology, and encapsulation during synthesis. The Histogenotech company has established a platform for the production of nanoparticles that contain different drugs or amine-containing molecules. The company has also been successful in producing nanoparticles that have been capable of delivering chemical agents with negative (RNA and DNA) and positive charge, catalysts, and biosensor which all of them possess anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-cancer properties.
